Privacy Policy
Fieldshot, Inc. ("Fieldshot," "we," "us," or "our") builds field-documentation software for contractors. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account information you provide directly — name, email address, company name, team size, and password.
- Content you upload — jobsite photos, project details, checklists, notes, and client information you enter into Fieldshot.
- Communications — messages you send us via forms, chat, or email.
- Device & usage data — IP address, browser and device type, referring URLs, feature usage, and diagnostic information collected automatically when you use the site or app.
- Location data — with your permission, GPS coordinates attached to photos taken in the mobile app.
- Cookies & similar technologies — for authentication, preferences, and analytics.
2. How we use information
- Provide, operate, and improve Fieldshot and its features.
- Authenticate you, secure your account, and prevent abuse or fraud.
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
- Send you administrative messages (billing, security, service updates).
- Send marketing communications where you have opted in — including SMS text messages and email — about product news, tips, and offers. You can opt out at any time (see below).
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. SMS & communications consent
Opt-in only. By providing your phone number and checking the SMS consent box (where offered) — or by texting a keyword such as JOIN to a Fieldshot short code — you are giving us your express written consent to send you recurring automated text messages related to Fieldshot, including trial-setup instructions, demo confirmations, product tips, and promotional offers.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
To opt out at any time, reply STOP to any Fieldshot text message. You'll receive a confirmation and no further marketing texts. For help, reply HELP or email support@fieldshot.ai.
We do not share opt-in data. Mobile opt-in information — including phone numbers and consent — is never shared with, sold to, or licensed to third parties for their own marketing purposes. It is used only by Fieldshot (and our SMS delivery vendor acting on our behalf) to send you the messages you asked for.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited cases:
- With your team. Content you upload is visible to other members of your Fieldshot workspace and to clients you explicitly share links with.
- With service providers that host, store, or process data on our behalf (e.g., cloud hosting, error monitoring, email/SMS delivery, payment processing), under confidentiality obligations. Providers accessing SMS-related data only handle it to deliver messages you requested.
- With integration partners you connect (for example Jobber) — data flows both ways only for accounts you have linked.
- For legal reasons — if required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, and property.
- In a business transfer — if we're acquired or merge, subject to standard notice and confidentiality.
5. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When your account is closed, we delete or anonymize your data on a defined schedule, except where retention is required by law.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information — including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security review. No system is 100% secure; you're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe.
7. Your rights & choices
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing privacy@fieldshot.ai. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under GDPR, CCPA, or other laws.
- Marketing emails — click "unsubscribe" in any marketing email.
- SMS messages — reply STOP to any text.
- Cookies — you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without them.
8. Children
Fieldshot is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. International users
Fieldshot is operated in the United States. If you use the service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. under applicable safeguards.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app notice before they take effect.
